Grand Lodge Office for 2015/16

In an earlier post we saw that two of our founding members, VW Bros Thomas Harvey Johnston and Fredrick George Butler-Wood were part of the first cohort of UGLQ Grand Officers in 1921. This year we have 4 active grand lodge officers and 2 just finishing terms.

Paul is our fourth recipient of AGM rank. Previously RW Bros George Pegg, Roy Cleeland and Cedric Holland have been elevated to that rank.

Third Degree - Bro Scott Merson

Great and challenging (for the brand new team) night at St George with a Third Degree on Bro Scott Merson in July less than a month after our Installation.

We were delighted to again have his father Wor Bro Bill Merson from Thistle Lodge with us witness this great milestone. Scott comes from Scottish stock and is a fifth generation Freemason.

We were also delighted to welcome a great delegation from our friends at Tuscan Lodge. A Fraternal visit was arranged led by Tuscan WM, Wor Bro Roy Pavey. They also carried off our Travelling Tool.

In addition held our first formalised education session under our new mentorship program for a number of our Entered Apprentices and Fellowcrafts. This was organised and run by Asst Secretary Bro Mepi Faoagali and was very successful.
